VicTrak wins 2017 Government Leadership award
HillPDA were honoured to be a sponsor of the Government Leadership award at the Property Council’s 2017 Innovation and Excellence Awards.
The Government Leadership award recognised significant innovation and excellence of a local, state or federal government department or authority in its dealings with the property investment and development industries.
HillPDA would like to congratulate VicTrak who won the award for their Community Use of Vacant Rail Buildings (CUVRB) Program.
VicTrack’s Community Use of Vacant Rail Buildings Program restored 15 disused rail buildings in regional areas of Victoria and opened them up to the community. The program had the triple benefit of bringing historic station buildings back to life, giving rural communities much needed new facilities, and providing social and economic benefits to regional towns. The restored buildings are being occupied by local groups for a variety of uses, including office, meeting, consulting, event, exhibition, performance, workshop and activity spaces.
We would also like to congratulate the runners up Woollahra Council and University of South Australia and all other award recipients.
